Trip Details
Welcome to off-roading with Adventure Quest in partnership with the renowned Marina Bruce from!
This is an entry level off-roading experience including overnight camping and 2 optional sunset and sunrise hikes.
The route takes you through the wilds of Ras Al Khaimah along flat wadi beds with high canyon walls surrounding you, to climbing steep hills reaching panoramic viewpoints of rolling hills across the UAE’s Hajar mountain range.
Expect to see interesting geological compositions and erosion along the wadi walls, camels and wildlife of UAE, traditional palm plantations and lush green farms, old traditional settlements and even one or two mountain springs!
There is a section of the road which climbs quite steeply around 200m, along with having very narrow tracks to follow and the possibility of erosion in the road due to rainfall, which is why we strongly do not advise using extra longwheel base vehicles. They are not suitable for this track.
Please refer to suggested vehicles list below.
We first meet at a petrol station near the start of the trail, fuel up and stock up any last minute requirements for the weekend than proceed in convoy following lead vehicle.
Day 1
Will include up to 4 hours driving before reaching our camping area. While camp and BBQ dinner are being set up and prepared, there is an optional sunset hike for the group to enjoy and stretch their legs.
Day 2
Will include a light breakfast followed by another optional sunrise hike while the camp is taken down. A reminder that we abide by the ‘Leave No Trace’ rules where we take out everything we take in, as well as whatever we find along the way. Please do your part and join us in bringing a litter bag and leave our environment in a better shape than how we find it.
We enjoy another 4 hours of driving before ending the off-roading route. For those inclined, we then have the option to pass through the Masafi Friday Markets for a dose of culture where you can shop for traditional carpets, pottery, organic fruit & veggies.
Join us as we enjoy our favourite cup of karak chai or eat some corn on the cob before heading back home.
