Hidden Oasis - Wadi Shah Loop - Musaibat village

The hidden oasis is an explorer’s dream. This unexpected mountain oasis sits at an elevation of ca 1000 meters, and it's truly is worth your while to hike there. It offers stunning views of the Hajar range, Jebel Jais and surrounding wadis.

The scenes are incredibly green during the winters, after the rains.

ROUTE

Start with an easy uphil all the way to the hidden oasis and enjoy a first good break (4.2km approx). 

Then (after the oasis) the climb steepens, but still on a good path up to a very high point, with spectacular views over the oasis. 

Right after the view point, we will reach the pittoresque and green village of Musaibat. From here, the descent to Wadi Shah starts, passing by Shah Peak with impressibe views of surrounding areas and mountains: You can see Jebel Yabana, Jebel Jais, Shahha Village, Omani mountain range and few valleys.

WHAT TO BRING

Any car can reach the entrance of Wadi, then you need a 4x4 to the start point of the hike

Carpool sheet will be discussed for confirmed participants

1. Backpack
2. 3 liters of water, minimum
3. Snacks (oranges, apple, dates, protein bar), electrolytes, sandwiches, nuts
4. Hiking boots or trainer with good grip sole
5. Hiking pants, tights, dry fit t-shirt
6. Sunscreen lotion
7. Hat and sunglass
8. Food for the whole trip

1. Personal basic Aid kit
2. Hiking poles
