This one-day course is designed to introduce beginners to the exhilarating world of outdoor abseiling. Participants will learn essential skills, including how to properly use abseiling equipment, tie crucial knots, and execute safe and controlled descents. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, you’ll gain confidence and competence in abseiling techniques, ensuring a thrilling yet safe experience. Whether you’re looking to conquer your fear of heights or simply seeking a new adventure, this course provides the perfect foundation for your abseiling journey.

PROGRAM

n this one-day outdoor abseiling course for beginners, participants will learn:

  1. Equipment Familiarization: Understanding and using abseiling gear, including harnesses, ropes, carabiners, and helmets.
  2. Safety Procedures: Essential safety checks and protocols to ensure a secure abseiling experience.
  3. Knot Tying: Mastering key knots such as the figure-eight and double fisherman’s knot.
  4. Basic Techniques: Learning the correct body positioning, rope handling, and descent control.
  5. Communication Skills: Using hand signals and verbal commands to communicate effectively with instructors and fellow participants.
  6. Overcoming Fear: Building confidence and managing any fear of heights through guided practice and support.

INCLUDED IN THE FEE 

  • Certified rock climbing instructor and wilderness first aider
  • All the technical climbing gear necessary for the activity.
  • Max number of participants: 8

WHAT TO BRING

Any car can reach the start point of the hike (no need 4x4)

Carpool sheet will be discussed for confirmed participants

  1. Backpack
  2. 4 liters of water, minimum
  3. Snacks (oranges, apple, dates, protein bar), electrolytes, sandwiches, nuts
  4. Hiking boots or trainer with good grip sole
  5. Hiking pants, tights, dry fit t-shirt
  6. Sunscreen lotion
  7. Hat and sunglass

There is no toilette at the site, therefore make sure you make a stop before arriving to the event.
