Stairways to Heaven Hike (Full Loop)

This hike is rightly known as the most famous and spettacular hike of UAE. 

It takes you all the way up the impressive cliff face of Jebel Jais. An ancient beduin way taken by farmers to reach the top of these mountains, otherwise reachable only by a long detour through Khassab.

This hike is the full loop that take us through the mighty "Stairways". A seememgly impossible to hike wall which unveils some stone walls stairs once you get close to it.

We will start from the left bank of the canyon, Wadi Lithbah. From here onwards, it is a long walk through a wadi river bed. Then we reach the face of the wall, where the stairs are, and with a circa 800m hike, exposed in section, we will reach the summit plateu at 1800m with spectacular views over the Ras Al Khaimah city and sea. 

We then descend down on a easy and well marked trail from the right bank completing a full loop trail.

We will start early morning before sunrise to then complete towards the afternoon.

WHAT TO BRING

Any car can reach the entrance of Wadi, then you need a 4x4 to the start point of the hike

Carpool sheet will be discussed for confirmed participants

1. Backpack
2. 5 liters of water, minimum
3. Headlight
4. Snacks (oranges, apple, dates, protein bar), electrolytes, sandwiches, nuts
5. Lunch
6. Hiking boots or trainer with good grip sole
7. Hiking pants, tights, dry fit t-shirt
8. Sunscreen lotion
9. Hat and sunglass

Nice to have

1. Personal basic Aid kit
2. Hiking poles
