Wadi Showka Families hike - Water Pools & Camel Farm

We will hike in the wadi river bed towards remote calem farms and then up the hills in a loop hike around the large water pools. Water should be at a good height for us to jump and splash and cool off during the hike! One of our favorite wadi, which is so close to Dubai, only less than an hour away! Good training ground if you want to explore more mountains in UAE.

ROUTE

Circa 5 km trail.

First part, 200+, then the trail starts. After few kms on some elevation trails, the gradual downhill rest with hut points after every 1.5-2 km.

WHAT TO BRING

1. Small backpack
2. 2-3 liters of water
3. Snacks (oranges, apple, dates, protein bar), electrolytes
4. Trail running shoes (Trainer with good grip sole) or hiking boots
5. Hiking pants, tights, shorts, dryfit t-shirt, small towel
6. Wipes, sunscreen lotion and sanitizer
7. Hat and sunglass

There is no toilette at the site, therefore make sure you make a stop before arriving to the event.
